We like to meet prospective clients to discuss the changes you have in mind. This allows us to get a clear picture of your existing garden, what you hope to achieve from a newly designed garden and the opportunity to manage your expectations.

Following this discussion and based on some of the suggestions and recommendations we make during our meeting, coupled with your own ideas and an idea of your budget, we then create a comprehensive design brief and estimate which includes all design, materials and labour to complete your project.

We will talk you through the design process, show you some examples of our work from our portfolio, and take photographs of your garden. If you have some ideas which you have collected relating to materials, colours, planting or construction whilst considering your garden renovation from gardening books or magazine, please feel free to provide this to us during our discussion. This is hugely beneficial and ensures we have plenty of feedback on what prospective clients want to include or want to avoid. Don’t worry though if you are unsure as to what you want, or indeed what you can have, it is our job to ensure we help you by providing inspiration before beginning work on the project.

Once we have surveyed your designated area, an initial outline design plan for the garden can be drawn up. Visually, this will show the new features and layout of the garden as well as indicating which materials and planting we intend to use, together with any other construction that may be required. We wil also include sketches or drawings needed to help you visualise the finished design.

You will have the opportunity to review the design in detail, ask any questions or request minor changes. You may need a little time to think through the changes before the final design is agreed and finalised.

Although the finalised design plan will indicate the general style of planting envisaged, it is vital that a detailed plan showing exact locations, sizes and quantities of all plants is drawn up.

This planting plan will be quoted for separately as its cost is dependent on the planting area, and the style of planting required. It will be accompanied by a detailed Plant Schedule listing all plants by type, variety and pot size so that you have the correct information for nurseries and contractors.

We are able to source or recommend high quality plants using our expert horticulturists.

Once the design and planting plans have been jointly agreed, we agree a project schedule including a proposed start and end date. We manage the site to ensure you experience minimum disruption and we source any additional plant machinery which may be required to complete the agreed work.

We keep you updated with daily updates on progress or any issues encountered. After the project is complete, we meet onsite with you to obtain final sign-off and check that you are happy with all aspects of the work undertaken. If there are any issues, we ensure these are addressed before we leave.
